Lien + Patrick . Intimate Mount Jackson Cabin Wedding

Lien and Patrick’s journey together began many years ago, but a few hiccups (and many states between them) put their relationship on hold for a bit. When they crossed paths again… sparks reignited and the rest is history! She told me that Gwen Stefani’s song “Truth” is 100% accurate to their love story.

So this is what the truth feels like
This is more of what I had in mind
Yeah this is what the truth feels like
And I’m feeling it, I’m feeling it

Although their wedding day was my first chance to finally meet these lovebirds, after all our pre-wedding communication, I felt like I’d already known them for years, and I could tell instantly how deeply in love they are. Together with their closest friends and family, Lien and Patrick enjoyed a full wedding weekend at a stunning log cabin in Mount Jackson. Even with the gloomy weather, their spirits weren’t dampened. Mother nature cooperated long enough for their gorgeous outdoor ceremony and portraits! And, I must say the overcast skies made for some beautiful photos! These two are the perfect complement to each other, and they were the most flirty and giggly newlyweds I think I’ve ever photographed… You can definitely see the excitement in their eyes, and when I look at the photos, I can almost still hear their sweet laughter.

Congratulations Lien and Patrick!!! Thank you sooooo much for letting me be a part of your special day!

Sorry Lien, but the adorable kiddos definitely stole the show for a bit! Seriously, aren’t they the cutest!?

This one is definitely one of my favorites…. that sweet face as she watches her mom walk down the aisle!

Lien Patrick Mount Jackson Cabin Wedding Virginia Wedding Photographer Limefish StudioI was so thrilled that the couple asked me to paint one of my guestbook globes for them! I just loved the idea Lien came up with for the Blue Ridge Mountain backdrop!

I was shocked when I learned that Patrick’s mom made this cake!!! It is simple perfection! Gotta love Lien’s daughter reaching up eagerly in the photo too!

  • Jenna Redfield - Love the down to earth vibe! I’ve never seen someone get married and have the reception in a cabin! Great idea!June 8, 2016 – 11:17 amReplyCancel

    • Liên Brewer - Hehe, thanks! We saved thousands by holding it at a cabin. Focusing on the important stuff seemed right, and I’m so glad we did it that way! We paid for our wedding out of pocket, carrying no debt. Love the big beautiful weddings with all the gorgeous detail, so I’ll just keep reading her blogs to get my fix January 16, 2017 – 8:11 pmReplyCancel
