Diana + Ryan . Stone Tower Winery Wedding

Even with a threat of storms and the intense summer heat, Diana and Ryan were two of the most cool and calm couples I’ve seen on a wedding day. Thankfully, the weather surprised everyone and couldn’t have been more beautiful! The rain held off, the sun hid and a cool breeze floated in just as the ceremony began! This wedding was grand in every sense of the word, and this couple is seriously beyond adorable. To share a bit of backstory and to show off how ridiculously cute and witty these two are, here’s a little snip-it of their love story.

Ryan Says: Diana and I went to high school together but she was a couple years behind me.  From there I went down to Radford and Diana went to some place she calls Longwood.  Mainly just a couple cows and 1 Mexican restaurant there.  Anyway roughly 10 years later we were partying on the brown brown (Potomac River) on separate boats.  I came over to the boat she was on and from there it all began.  Once Diana saw me with my shirt off she face booked me and following that a couple dates and boat outings.  Once she graduated from her masters program at Longwood I believe its called we became closer and closer.  Ever since then I knew she was the one for me especially since she promised to drop the Cowboys squad and root for the Skins.  We have loved each other ever since and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her, the pups and build a family together.  Between her ambitious goals and always striving to be better we make a great team.

Diana Says:  Although we went to high school together, we didn’t reconnect until many years later while enjoying a hot June Saturday on the Potomac River. Ryan was on his boat, and I was on another boat with some cooler people. He noticed I was on the boat that just pulled up, so naturally he swam over as quick as he could to say hi. We kept in touch and saw each other on weekends while I finished my Master’s Degree at Longwood. I moved back home 3 weeks after meeting Ryan, and after that we spent a lot of our time together. By the end of that summer I knew he was the one for me and we had something pretty amazing.

I had been eagerly counting down to their wedding day ever since we did their engagement photos and knew with Diana’s impeccable taste that her wedding was going to be stunning. Diana’s stunning hair

How amazing are these robes by Noviame!?! And, don’t the girls all look perfectly sun-kissed with their spray tans by The Perfect Shade?!

Diana is oh-so-stunning! 

She wanted to have a special First Look moment with her dad and her brother before the ceremony started! So sweet!

These flowers!! Blooms Reston Floral knocked it out of the park!

I just love this one of Ryan! Such a dashing groom!

How amazing is this! During portraits, two friends surprised Diana and Ryan with beers that were brewed JUST for their wedding! Ahh! Sooooo sweet!

And, I love that the guys all loved their hand-painted cartoon beer steins that I painted for them!

This is my absolute favorite! Stunning couple + gorgeous scenic backdrop + the “wind” lifting her veil = perfection!

During their ceremony, Diana and Ryan put the lock on this adorable wine box. The idea is that if they ever experience a rocky point in the future, they can open the box, read the letters they wrote to each other and enjoy the bottle of wine while remembering the strength of their bond.

The evening ended with the couple cutting the cake with Ryan’s family sword and a beautiful sparkler exit. The perfect ending for the sweetest couple. They’ll soon be heading out on their honeymoon – a coastal California tour! SOOOO happy for Diana & Ryan!
