DIY Fancy Frame Cork Board

SUPPLIES:
2’x4′ Cork Roll: $7.49 // with coupon on Jo-Ann (they sell smaller rolls, but I’m using this for other projects too)
18″x22″ Laser Cut Wood Scroll Frame: $1.99 // on sale at Michaels + teacher discount
20″x30″ White Foam Board: $2.99 // on sale at Michaels + teacher discount
*White Acrylic Paint + Paint Brush
*Pencil
*Spray Adhesive
*Hot Glue
*Box Cutter – a sharp x-acto would work too
*Staple Gun + Staples 
*Picture Hanger Attachment

STEPS:
► I rolled out the cork roll, placed the frame on top and traced the inside rectangle – making sure there was a little extra room around all edges – you’ll be cutting these a tad bit larger than the frame opening so you can attach it on the back.
► Next, I did the same thing and traced the frame opening onto the foam board.
► Then, I painted the wooden scroll frame white.
► While the paint dried I used the box cutter (new sharp blade) to cut the cork board and foam board. I left approximately 1/4″ extra space around all sides for attaching to the back of the frame.
► Using spray adhesive on both the cork board and foam board, I lined them up and pressed together. As you can see in my photo, the edges didn’t match up perfectly, but as long as the front side is centered, there’s no worry – the back doesn’t need to be pretty. 
► Once the frame was dry, I attached the cork. I used hot glue around all the edges, and then added a few staples as a little extra enforcement. 
► I attached a picture hanger bracket (the kind with the jagged teeth) on the top of the back and WA-LA… ready to hang!
