This wedding post is extra special to me because the groom is one of my coolest buddies from high school! I was beyond thrilled, humbled and honored when Jake and Lindsay asked me to be their photographer! I didn’t get the chance to meet the beautiful bride until their engagement photo session and immediately loved how obviously happy she makes Jake!
Lindsay and her gals had their hair and makeup done at the lovely Salamander Resort and Spa and then headed over to the stunning Cana Vineyards and Winery of Middleburg for their wedding. And… just in time too, since a giant storm decided to roll in before the ceremony and thankfully passed quickly enough to barely dampen the day! I loved Lindsay’s decision to do first look photos with her brother (who was also their officiant) and with her groom. The guys’ reactions to seeing Lindsay just melted my heart. From the beautifully personalized ceremony to the family-style dinner to the speeches that had everyone in tears, and the endless dancing, everything about this wedding reflected the incredible bond that Lindsay and Jake share and how much they value the family and friends in their lives.
It was such a tremendous honor to be by their side on this special day, and let me just say…. this group sure knows how to party!!! I cannot wait to hear about your Aruba honeymoon adventures! In the meantime, enjoy some of my favorite wedding highlights!
