SUMMER + STUART : Paradise Point Resort Wedding . San Diego, California

Not only are Summer and Stuart a magazine-worthy, gorgeous couple… they are the sweetest, perfectly goofy couple. Their wedding was stunning from beginning to end, and I feel so truly honored to have been a part of it. I’ll admit I struggled putting this blog post together, but only because from the 1100 final photos, I first narrowed it down to 275 top favorites! Then, ultimately found a way to select 117 to share with you here.

In August, my hubby, daughter, and I hopped on a plane for beautiful San Diego (Charlotte’s first flight!). For me, there’s an extra level of excitement and anticipation whenever I get to photograph a destination wedding and even more so when I’ve never met the couple. What a thrill! Although with all our pre-wedding chats and coordinating, when the time came to meet Summer and Stuart, I felt like we were old friends. I tagged along for some casual photos of their rehearsal and then snapped a few of their beautifully decorated rehearsal dinner. Their venue, Paradise Point Resort, offered breathtaking views at every turn. The huge resort makes you feel like you’ve traveled to a remote island!

These photos below perfectly sum up what a fun couple Summer and Stuart are. While snapping away, I say, “look up” and this is what I got. Through my laughter, I correct myself and say, “no… look down”… they clearly win a modeling award for following directions.

Finally, when I specify to look at a normal eye-level straight ahead…. they nail it!
