Amanda is a fun loving beach bunny who spends as much time as possible outdoors and underwater.
Her passion for taking cruises and absorbing the excitement of other cultures led to the creation of her travel blog: LIVE from the LIDO DECK.
A lido (LEE-doh), in the United Kingdom and some other countries, refers to a public outdoor swimming pool and surrounding facilities, or part of a beach where people can swim, lie in the sun or participate in water sports. On a cruise ship, outdoor pools and the surrounding facilities are referred to as the lido deck. (wikipedia)
Her blog began in 2012 and offers, “tips and tricks of all things cruising from a self professed cruise ADDICT.” Her goal is to provide quality information for anyone planning to take a cruise. Her destination list is impressive, and the photos will make you want to take a trip immediately!
I was so excited about this opportunity to work with Amanda on developing her lovely new logo! Growing up visiting the Florida Keys all my life and sand dollar hunting with my Grandparents made this design an extra special one for me!
After sending the final round of revisions, I was thrilled to see her email response, “Oh em gee!!!!!! I absolutely love them! They look amazing”

Since it’s always important to utilize as much space as possible when showing your logo in different scenarios, I give a handful of size variations to fit long horizontal widths and square shapes. Also, depending on what you are printing, gradients can often be tricky or limiting, so it’s wise to have solid color options as well (as I know from my own limefish logo). Amanda plans to add some pops of pale yellow on her website as well to represent the warm sunshine!
