Enjoy our exclusive spotlight interview with…
the Etsy shop owner of The Secret Drawer of Adelaida.
Tell us about your shop name…
► The name was created because I, Adelaida, actually keep most of my creations in drawers. The shop itself can be seen as a drawer – there’s plenty of various things in it, some don’t really match, but since they are mine and I’ve made them all, they just complete one another.
Tell us about your logo…
► The logo was created by me and shows a front of a drawer. This picture was based on a photo of an actual drawer in which I keep my illustrations for sale. The bunny-keyhole logo you can see in every photo in a shop has been an earlier idea. I think it may even be the first idea for my brand.
Tell us about your shop…
► The shop owner is me, of course 🙂 I’ve made or will make all of the items you can find in my shop. It is based out of my desk in Radom, Poland 🙂 and it first opened sometime in 2010/2011. I don’t really remember when exactly. I made my shop’s profile in March 2010 but it wasn’t the time I got it running. My shop is unique because all items I make have my whole heart in themselves, are carefully done and full of happiness.
Tell us about the items in your shop…
► You’ll find plenty of cute things made by hand, my hand. It’s a mishmash of everything that I like. MY favourite item is something cat related, surely. Let me take a glimpse … I cannot decide!
Where do you get your inspiration?
► I draw inspiration from life. Mostly the natural part of it – I like to watch it change and to concentrate on small details that no one else seems to notice. It always makes me peaceful and relaxed; and that’s the perfect moment to start creating!

You cannot live without…
► I can’t live without books. I could spend my last money on them, I can skip sleeping just to read them; books add flavour to my life and imagination.
You‘re not a fan of…
► I’m not a fan of early rising. It just makes me wanna cry!
We wouldn’t guess that…
► You wouldn’t guess that I like bad-ass tattoos. Oh yes, they are just great.
One day, you hope to…
► One day I hope to open a small gallery with a tiny coffee shop where people could relax while drinking café latte and watching my cute animals’ paintings.
Do you have advice for other Etsy shop owners?
