ALL HOLIDAY PARTY no. 3 (2012)

I first created this party concept in 2010 as a fun little excuse to party with friends, and over time it has morphed into an exciting annual event where all holidays collide! In the beginning it was also given the name St. Mardi Valoween 4th East Chrismukkah Foolsgiving Eve!
The drawing I created to include in the first All-Holiday Party invite!
Here’s a sweet little photo from PARTY no. 1 … taken just a few weeks after I met my Andrew. I still remember saying….. “so, my roommates and I are throwing this all-holiday party….”  and having to explain the concept.  I knew he was a keeper when he decided to dress as CUPID.
Unfortunately, the only photos from this party are the wild and crazy ones that I won’t be sharing here 😉
Guests included: cupid, mardi gras (me), a thanksgiving turkey, New Year’s Eve, Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day, President’s Day, Black History Month, Easter, and a Halloween angel & devil.
This was the year I made fortune cookies and inside each of them were fun little dares!
PARTY no. 2 can be seen in a little blog post here
This year Andrew and I went as Cinco de Mayo (I was really excited about carrying maracas and wearing red heels).
And, do you see that little basket of Easter eggs? Each one contained a dare! For example, “give a shot to anyone not wearing a costume” and “give a christmas present to the best costume”
And, now…. for a few highlight photos from this year’s PARTY no. 3
Sweet Layla even got a costume this year. Well, I should rephrase saying she wore the ears long enough for me to take a photo! Sadly I realized Andrew and I never got a picture taken together in full costumes. I went as Veteran’s Day and wore a bunch of his Army uniform and he went as the Grinch – full green face paint and all (which he ended up washing off mid-party after getting green on everything!).
Other guests this year included arbor day (who arrived with and gift us a MINI TREE!), President’s Day, Valentine’s Day, National Hockey Day, Christmas, Fourth of July,  Running Day, and Thanksgiving.
I had to continue the tradition of hidden dares, and again filled plastic Easter Eggs with funny dares and challenges. This year we also did a GIFT EXCHANGE – which ended up being quite hilarious.
I decided to put the mardi gras mask I made (my year 1 costume) on display 🙂
Andrew insisted on making latkes as his contribution this year.
Have I mentioned how much I love decorating cookies? And this party has the perfect excuse.
This year we did a VOTE FOR THE BEST COSTUME game.
Other little activities included ice tray racing, pin the tail on the donkey, and the TV mustache game.

And….. as we do for most of our parties now, we had a little PHOTO BOOTH set up. These are just a few favorites of the many, many funny ones!
Stay tuned for the next All Holiday Party!
