Who’s ready for 2012?! I thought I’d share a few fun ideas in case any of you are throwing a little NYE party! Mix up your guest list and start your party no earlier than 8 or 9 (according to most online sources) to prevent a drudge of midnight anticipation. Also, starting later takes some pressure off the hostess from providing a large meal. Another neat idea is to do a post-midnight breakfast buffet instead! mmmmm ~ I’m thinking cinnamon rolls would be a big hit! And, another cute idea is to create little mini “morning after” care packages with Ibuprofen, Vitamin C powder or Gatorade for your guests ~ I’m sure they’ll thank you later!

“In Spain, revelers mark the New Year by quickly eating a dozen grapes at midnight. The fruits are said to be a predictor of the year ahead: Each sweet grape represents a good month, each sour grape a less-than-lucky one. Adopt the tradition by threading grapes onto skewers, and serve each in a glass of Champagne just before the countdown.” via Martha Stewart
